Demokra$i

Questions come to mind:

1) How much does someone have to spend to campaign in a local (Cabang/Division) election? (For instance, posting a letter to each person in a 4,000-member division already would set someone back RM2,000!)

2) And how much to run for a national party post? All that travel, accommodations, campaign material…

3) How much does one need to spend (and not just CAN spend) to contest a State or Parliamentary seat?

Democracy has a price, and unfortunately we don’t really know how many Malaysians can afford it.

(ps – I heard that someone is ready to pay RM20 to RM50 (Sabahans asked for more, apparently) for each PKR member to vote nanti…)
